Recruitment Rules for the Tutoring Program at the Poznań University of Technology
- Tutoring is conducted in accordance with the Tutoring Rules approved by the Rector of PUT.
Excerpt from the regulations regarding candidate qualification for the Tutoring Programme
§ 3 Qualification of students for the Tutoring programme
- Tutoring is offered to Poznan University of Technology students following their degree programmes in all full-time and part-time fields of study.
- During the studies, students may participate in only one Tutoring programme. In justified cases, at the request of the Council, the Vice-Rector may agree to students’ repeated participation in the programme.
- Any Tutor can be chosen by students, regardless of the field of study and faculty.
- The limit of places in the Tutoring programme in a given academic year and the principles for the remuneration of Tutors are determined by the Rector.
- At the beginning of each semester, the Council defines for the entire University the principles (date and form) for applying to the Tutoring programme. The principles are available on the PUT website and are relayed to students’ official e-mail addresses.
- The process of qualifying students for academic Tutoring is supervised by the Council.
- The condition for students to apply for participation in Tutoring is passing the semester preceding the semester in which Tutoring is supposed to take place. In the case of first-year students, it is necessary to pass the first semester.
- In order to take part in Tutoring, students must successfully go through the qualification process, which consists of:
- submitting a cover letter justifying the selection of a Tutor and the subject of Tutoring within the time limit set by the Council;
- an interview with the Tutor indicated in the cover letter.
- The inclusion of students in the academic Tutoring is decided by the Council on the basis of student ranking lists prepared by the Tutors.
- One Tutor may supervise a maximum of two Tutees per semester.
- In special cases, at a Tutor’s request, the number of Tutees may be changed by the Council after obtaining the Vice-Rector’s consent.
- In the event of not filling all the places for a given semester, the qualification of students for the Tutoring Programme may take place on a continuous basis after the expiry of the date referred to in section 5.
- The recruitment for the Tutoring Program conducted in the winter semester of 2025 begins on October 8, 2025.
- Students interested in participating in the program are asked to complete the application form provided below.
- Applications will be accepted until October 19, 2025.
- Between October 20 and 25, 2025, interviews between tutors and candidates for the Tutoring Program will take place.
- Interviews are conducted in person with all candidates who submitted their applications on time.
- If more than two candidates apply to the same tutor, the tutor decides which students they will work with. The Tutoring Council may propose a different tutor if the tutor agrees and the candidate consents.
- The decision regarding qualification for the Tutoring Program will be made by October 31, 2025, and sent to the student’s email address.
